What’s up? (with you)

It’s been 6 months after my last posting here. It’s getting harder and harder to think of things to write here, also I was expecting to be more feedback from my many readers, perhaps I was expecting too much?

I put up polls to try to get a better feeling what you would like to see, or what kind of things interest you. To be able to use that information in our advantage. I know that more and more people are caring for their privacy when using the internet, but if people with similiar likings as I have want to able to connect to others then you can’t “hide” behind a keyboard and hoping something will happen. Writing a comment or an Email will help us all.

As I was a child or teen I allready noticed my interest in perms and rollers, I tought by letting my hair grow that one day a hairstylist perhaps even tell me to try a perm, of course that never happenend and most likely will never happen. To be able to achieve something you have to start doing something for it, so if you like to feel how it is to be permed then ask for one, do it…. or…. wait for too long and it maybe is not possible anymore , for whatever reason.

Changing your hair this way is not an easy choice, for men even harder then for woman. But maybe you can try to get the feeling by being a model for a hairstylist in training, it is very hard to do a good permwinding or rollerset, so upcoming hairstylist will have to practise that as often as possible. A nice advantage of this is, that it will take them much longer in time, we don’t mind that, do we?  😉

Perhaps you buy some rollers and try doing it yourself? I still do that from time to time and show it using Skypewebcam, does that sound intresting? Maybe you too like to see that one day? Just send me an email asking for my Skypedetails.

In the picture above you see some nice dryerhoods, I love these so much I bought one. Mine is not a version hanging from the wall but one on a rolling base, these dryerhoods are many years old ( mine must be over 30 years old ! ) and can be bought for nice prizes if you are lucky. My hair is still permed in curls, currently it is very long and because of that I can do so many things with it using all my rollers and permrods. I recently got myself some big rollers and boy are these fun to play with, over the last months I did many sets over Skypewebcam and had several people watch it, some of those also did somekind of hairsalonplay or even with curlers of somekind. I plan to do much more sets in the near future and perhaps you can join then?

My very first perm was now over 12 years ago, so many perms have followed and I still love this whole proces so much, I wouldn’t mind being in curlers every days… hehe. I too wasted a lot of time, I could have started with perms perhaps 10 years earlier, perhaps even more. All those years are gone forever, you can’t turn back time you can only look forward, so if you like things with hair and salons, do it… you only live once.

A new year.. Part II

You need some patience getting a perm, depending on the hairlength and size of the permingrod it will take between 1,5 and several hours. To me this all is so much fun, you feel the tension on the rollers, it smells strange.

From time to time I try to put my own hair in curlers  / permrods. I have everything for that here at home, even the permingtray ( black plastic tray on her shoulders) and the cottonband and the used neckstrip. I won’t do a real perm, not on myself or on anybody because with a perm lots of things can go wrong.  Perms are best done by a good stylist in a salon, doesn’t have to be the most expensive salon, in fact it is better to go to a salon where they regularly do perms instead of an expensive place that only perms a few times in a month.

Fashion still dictates straight hair… booo !  But we see more perms being done, and who knows what 2018 will bring… or perhaps just simply do what you want, why do your hair the way as all others do?  Dare to be yourself, dare to be different, dare to get a perm done.

Q&A, part IV

Q: “Do you still have curls? or stopped getting perms?”

Yes, I still get perm done so my hair is still in curls. Who knows if one day I stop getting perms, for now I just love my hair this way.

Q: “When in your life did you noticed that you liked perms?”

Well, I am not 100% sure.. if I think back it was perhaps even before turning 12 years old, maybe even younger. Back in those days lots of perms where done and I think that close to all woman in those days tried it at least once. I really liked those ladiessalon, so many dryers and that smell when the door openend.

Q: “Why don’t we see you anymore on this blog?”

Well I am still posting, but you mean photos of me. I think I showed enough of myself, this blog is not so about me as a person but about special feelings more people have. I like to interact with people, so I do webcam per Skype. It was the internet that openend lots of things for me, I tought I was alone with my feelings about perms, but I was not.. lots of groups everywhere and special salons that offered services etc.. so I now see my blog more for a place that others with a fetish that is hair or salonrelated to be able to see that they are not alone and that others have done the things that they would like to do.

Q: “wow, I like that salonchair you showed us, do you use that often? I wish it was possible for me to own such a chair”

Things are never impossible, if you want to own certain things then go ahead and buy it. I sit in my salonchair every day and still consider it to be the best buy I did. It really sits very comfortable, I can operate the pump myself while sitting in it, so much fun.. and it really feels high when I pump it to the max. As a child I already was daydreaming of owning a small homesalon (ladies style of coarse), I am kinda fullfilling that dream.

Q: “Do you have had a wetset done? are you not suppose to get wetsets with perms?”

Wetsets and perms are different, and no it is not needed after a perm. I never had a wetset, but I have done similiar things myself. I like the feeling of the rollers and sitting under my dryerhood, but the results are too feminin for my likings even tho my results are getting quite good ( that is what other tell me when I do curlers over webcam)

A perm is a permanent change of hairform, be it either to curls or to flat hair. Make permed hair wet and the shapes remains. A wetset is more a hairdo that uses the rollers to get more lift/volume at certain places.. so even tho wetsets are done using rollers more often the resulting hairdo has no curls but more like a shaped “helmet”-thing ( oops now I have insulted many?) , so yes you can make a curly hairdo with a wetset.. but after a perm that is kinda useless you allready have a curly look after a perm, one could do bigger rollers in the wetset to relax the perm faster. Fresh perms are very tight, often tighter then you would like them to be.

Q: “Will you go with me to a salon for me to get a perm?”

That can be nice perhaps. But sometimes it is better to take the (first) step alone. If you really want a perm, then go for it, you only live once.

PS I only meet someone after a Webcamsession over Skype, if for whatever reason you don’t what to use a webcam then sorry I won’t meet you.

Q: “Can I visit your salon?”

Short answer, sorry but “no”. Long answer, I don’t consider it a salon. I bought these items for personal use there are other places you perhaps can visit. Also to come back on previous statement, I won’t meet anyone without having seen the other per Skypewebcamsession.  I have met several people in the past already and it was very nice, one of the best was of course with Kat Surth, but also with all others it was very nice and I would meet with all of them more often if it again fits with date/time etc.

So yes, I still get perms and yes I sometimes put rollers in my hair. I was during Kat’s live stream in rollers. Later I showed 2 people that over Skypewebcam… I like it a lot to get closer to someone by seeing them, and then yes you can see me too.

Nice “toys” II , part IV

Blue is my favourite color. So I have many blue things aswell.

Here you see two capes, one regular one and in the bottomright corner a heavy duty chemical cape. Both are from the same brand, and both have those armholes in them.

The metalbrushrollers have a diameter of 21 mm and they seem small when compared to the huge benders, do they not?  The benders are 254 mm long and have 30 mm diameter ! I saw them in the past on a photo, that made want to own such benders.

See how it looks with those benders, I bet she was smiling even more with the waves/curls afterwards.

It is so nice to see that each week I get more and more visitors from so many different countries here. Also nice to hear from you per Email and Skype. Isn’t nice to be able to chat with someone that too likes the things you like about hairsalons / capes or perms, or perhaps something else that is related to this all. I am glad I started blogging almost 11 years ago and 7 years before that with the yahoogroups (too bad they seem to have ” died” out ), so many nice people I have found and they found me.  I hope that this blog brought you what you where looking for, please leave comments or emails, thanks.

Nice “toys” II , part III

Thanks that so many readers here keep coming back and liking the things I write and show. Always nice to hear from you per Email etc.

So yes I still get my hair permed in a salon, my current perm was done less then 3 weeks ago. I really like this hairdo, it looks good and is easy to maintain, strangly enough not too many perms are done here. Perhaps the occasional elderly lady, but further?  Where in the Ukrain many woman get perms and wow those look amazing ! Maybe one day that trend will go over the whole world again?

This photo comes from  that salon in Kiev. They do a lot of special permwinds there, the method with stacking lots of rods on top of each other seems to be done very often. In the USA it is called Piggy-back-wrap.

So lots and lots of rods are used then, I believe that I once read somewhere that did a more then 250 rodwind once!

Since the theme is about ” new toys ” ,  I got myself a nice of blackpermrods.

And I was not too unhappy of how the winding turned out.. So many more people seem to enjoy going to a salon and get perms, it is nice to hear from you… and maybe we can see each other over Skype per webcam one day?

Nice “toys” II , part II

Several of my salongoodies in pink.

The rollers are 27 mm in diameter and with them you can make some nice waves. The pink cape has holes for putting your arms through, for reading something when you are caped for such a long time because you are having a perm or wetset being done. That cape is very light, 150 grams orso, so it is really comfortable.

The cape on the left is not pink but does fit nicely in this group of items.

I got myself a new perm done so my hair is nice and curly now. I wonder of some of you would like to webcamchat with me? If so, please send me an Email (see above). You need a webcam and Skype, seeing me = seeing you first. I don’t add people on Skype that don’t do webcam from time to time.

New “waves”, part II

Such a “cute” look, seeing a perm being done.

Over the last years it is common to see a perm being done using such a climasununit, it’s confortable to sit under one because it’s not too hot and also there’s more space to move within. These units are ussually used for several things, I have seen them in use with perms, with wetsets and with doing color. On me the also use it to dry my hair after a trim/cut.

I did a permset on myself yesterday, also using the permstick and the cotton and towel , too me this all is such a nice feeling. This time it was extra fun because someone was  watching it over Skypewebcam. It was a very intresting chat and I hope it can happen again in the future.

It is very nice that we have the internet now, so we can meet others that have somekind of hairrelated fetish, the world got a little bit smaller, you are not alone anymore. Nice “toys” , part III

I got those other permtools when I decided to buy these.

What are these? Well, the are called  Creative Shapers and made by the compagny Wella. As you can see these come several sizes. The red and purple are the same size , they made newer sets of these and changed the color of them.

Where regular permrods get fastenend using a rubber band , these use a clip instead. Some clips fit two sizes of rollers. The purple/pink clips fit on both purple and pink rollers (and red because those are the same width as purple). The yellew/pink clips fit on yellow and pink rollers. The blue clips only fit the blue rollers. What is so special with these rollers is that not round but more eclipsedshaped and this eclips turns from one end to other about 45degrees. This means that over the length of the rollers a different shape of curl is made from right to left (or the other way around)

Who has ever seen these before? in a salon or somewhere else, it would be nice to get some feedback then.

I already tried those rollers on myself, and I kinda like them. They don’t feel tight because of the way of the clips are being put over the rollers and they are really light weighted.

Nice “toys” , part II

Since I love curlers / rollers / permingtools, I like to collect those.

Sometimes you find things for sale you never seen before, like the above permingtools. I bought these after seeing an add for selling hairsalonstuff. I think these permingtools are from the brand Wella.  Wella has made several other special permingtools in the past and still does. Maybe someone can write me what these are called and how the resulting perm will look like.

Sofar I didn’t try these rods, but I will, perhaps you are able to watch me over skypewebcam when I do.

So my collection of salonthings keeps growing, and I keep playing with them. Perhaps some of you want to share what you have?
